Excellent hammer. Fits my hands great.
Excellent design and flawless execution.
The QC must be very rigid @ Hardcore Hammers. 1st class materials and workmanship.
I bout one of these a couple years ago after buying one of the survivalist (or Naturalist) hatchet and top notch quality. My next purchase when I'm able is the Riggers Axe (hatchet). Im a fan of a variety of styles of edged and blunt force tools and "weapons" from different cultures and hands down had to have something of yours.
Perfect size for carrying a distance to job site
I love my original blackout smoothface hammer I use it daily. I dropped it off a ladder and the claw chipped just grinded it smooth and back to work. Will definetly be buying the 2.0 with recessed waffle head.
Nice to have
This ax is very well made with two expansion wedges or pins, not just one, holding on the ax head. Well balanced and durable. From a productive standpoint I wish the weight of the ax head were a little heavier to give it a bit more punch, but it is a great weight for carrying in a backpack into the woods. You can also use a sledge hammer to hit the hammer side of this ax if you need extra push through as it is made to be hit on that side as well. So, if you need a hatchet as apposed to full length ax this is the one. The longer hatchet handle is better without adding much carrying weight.
Good tool

Gave hatchet to my husband for our anniversary. He loves it.
Great weg powder. Just have to see how long it lasts.
Gave it to my logger friend to use. Said it's the nicest weaponder he has ever gotten. Have to see how it last
I’m so impressed and sick of the cheap stuff in all the big box stores, so I bought 2, one for me of course, and one for my toddler grandson lol. His dad put it in a safe place for future use but Myles is dying to get a hold of it now!!
minimal effort on dryish wood and it blazes right through. i bought the leather collar as well and think you'd be silly not to with scorching hot days and fatigue my doods...anyhow, highly recommend
