First the customer service is great. Was there a problem requiring me to call them, nope. I purchase the hatchet expecting a 12/21 ship date, but my email said it was shipping and on its way. Confused I called to see if there was a glitch and had to leave a message. With in an hour they called and explained the situation. So back to the hatchet. In the box was the hatchet, a thank you note and a bandaid. The hatchet is very sharp hence the bandaid, I haven't cut myself with it yet. So out to the woodshed I went. First grabbed a piece of wood too big for the hatchet, but had to try. After splitting the wood with an axe one time I went back to the hatchet. I had no problem turning it into kingling. It was so fun, in no time at all I had a pile, easier for the kids to carry in I told myself. Next I spied a small tree that needed to be cut down, not really, but down it came. 5 inch trunk 35 hits and down it went. Feeling good I called it a day and went in to re sharpen the hatchet, but there was no nick in the edge. The metal held up perfectly. So to end I would recommend buying one if you are on the fence.
